Something More by Ella Jade

Today we have awesome Ella Jade.  Ella please tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hi! My name is Ella Jade and I’m a contemporary romance author. I love spinning tales about dominant men and the women who challenge them both in and out of the bedroom.
How did you decided to enter the world of writing?
I’ve always been a writer. As a child I carried a notebook and pen with be everywhere I went. As an adult, the laptop is never far. Once I discovered the eBook industry I started penning novels and now I can’t be stopped.
I can relate to that, lol.  does your family think of your writing?
They’re getting used to it. LOL They are proud of me but erotic fiction isn’t for everyone so most times we don’t discuss it at the dinner table. But now that I’ve found some success with it they realize this is my chosen path.
Where do you get your ideas?
I’ve always had an active imagination. I hold whole conversations inside my head and plots are born.
Can you tell us a little about your book?
Something More is a full length novel. It has family conflict, blackmail, intrigue and lots of romance. Here’s the blurb…

An affair and a shocking secret threaten to tear apart a rich and powerful family.
Claudia Samson, housekeeper to the privileged Callahan family, finds herself alone and pregnant after a brief fling with Gavin, the youngest Callahan son. When she informed him of the pregnancy he accused her of running a scam and made it clear that she was on her own.
Brody Callahan, Gavin's older half-brother, has devoted his entire life to running the family business. He doesn't realize what he's been missing by throwing himself into his work until he finds Claudia asleep in the family guest bedroom. He has discovered his very own Sleeping Beauty. Intrigued by the young woman, he vows to get to know her better.
Although Claudia is instantly attracted to the charismatic businessman, she knows her secret will destroy any chance they have for a future together, but Brody's awfully hard to resist.
Meanwhile, as Gavin watches Brody and Claudia's relationship develop, he begins to devise a plan to use the secret to his advantage. He wants full partnership in the business—something he was denied by both his brother and their deceased father—and maybe now he can finally obtain it.
Can Brody and Claudia survive the storm, or will the secrets and blackmail destroy both them and their love?
Content Warning: graphic sex and some explicit language
What is your writing process?
Writing is my full-time job. Once I put the kids on the bus, I write. I try to dedicate at least three days a week to solid writing. I’ll start with an outline but I usually let the characters take me where they need to go. Most times the plots flow. I’ve been pretty fortunate.
Oh, lucky girl. I wish I could have your full time job, lol. What was the hardest part for you when working on your book?
Believe it or not, the erotic scenes. I know, strange coming from an erotic fiction author. LOL I’ll often skip over them, continue with the story and go back later and write the heat.
I can relate to that, I have some steamy scenes that were difficult to write. What influenced or inspired you to write?
My over-active imagination. The stories have always played out in my head.
Was there a scene that you didn’t add or you removed in your finished work?
Not really. Most times, I add scenes that I hadn’t planned out. As I said, my characters are in charge J
Oh, it sounds like we lots in common, lol. My characters are in charge ;)  Do you have a favorite character (from you're book)? Why?
Brody. He is totally swoon-worthy. He’s the kind of hero every woman needs;)
Do you already know what to write next? Can you tell us?
I just finished up the sequel to Make Me Stay and I’m happy to announce that my publisher has contracted it. I’m also working on a paranormal romance. It’s complicated, so it will take me a bit to figure out the logistics.
Where can we find more information about you and your books?
You can stay connected with me at http://ellajadeauthor.blogspot.com
Do you have any last words?
Thanks so much for having me. If your readers would like to check out more of Something More, you can get an excerpt here… http://beachwalkpress.com/something-more/

Fun Questions ~
I love weekends because?
It’s a chance to spend time with my boys and relax. I’m really looking forward to them now that the holidays are approaching.
I want to buy?
An Apple. It’s time for a new laptop for me and I’ve been eyeing up a Mac.
My favorite song is? Changes all the time but today it’s The One that Got Away by Katy Perry but only because I heard it a few hours ago.
My favorite precious stone is?
Diamond
I want to invite Nora Roberts to dinner. Why? Because she has so many romances and series out. I think I have a lot of ideas. I’d love to pick her brain.
My dream is to?
Do well with my writing and spend the rest of my life sharing words with my readers.

Ricardo Emmanuel De La Cruz Interview

I’m waiting for Ricardo Emmanuel De La Cruz to arrive for our meeting.  I’m at the coffee shop that is located down the street from the De La Cruz Inc.  There are several patio tables under some oak trees.   I’m excited to meet this year’s selection for the Hot Sexy Playboy in Southern California.

Okay, he’s finally arrived. Oh dios mio, he’s a gorgeous man.  Ricardo Emmanuel would be described as hot.  Ricardo has a square jaw with awesome high cheek bones.  His nose is straight and he has full delicious lips.  Ricky is tall and lean with defined muscles. He has incredible green eyes with long black eyelashes. His skin tone is golden brown. He maintains his black hair a little long, just reaching his collar.  Wow, no wonder the chicas chase him. He’s HOT!

I would like to introduce Ricardo Emmanuel De La Cruz.  Ricky is an attorney and he’s a manager in his familia’s company.  He’s young wealthy, confident, fun-loving, and warm.  He’s a gentleman, assertive, and sexy.  Ricardo is in control of his life.
Hi Ricardo, thank you for allowing this interview.  It’s fantastic that you’re this year’s selection for the Hot Sexy Playboy in Southern California.
Hi Patricia, it’s an incredible surprise.  I never expected to be selected as the playboy in Southern California.  I definitely never contemplated that I’m viewed as a playboy.
Ricardo can you tell us what drives you?
I’m driven to help my familia’s company to excel. My deepest desire is to seek my alma gemela (soul mate). I’m tired of the crazy chicas that chase me.  I’m baffled that Jacqueline runs away from me.  This is a first and my greatest challenge yet.
What is Ricardo Emmanuel’s favorite guilty pleasure?
I love my mama’s tortas, but my number one guilty pleasure is to make love.  I love to make love, but now I only want one mujer.
Ricardo what is your weakness?
My weakness is women and I’m going loco. I only want Jacqueline Cortez.  She’s my weakness.
Ricardo what is your fondest memory?
My fondest memory is the day that I saw Jacqueline for the first time.  That day was incredible.  I obviously can’t describe the moment (Ricky grins).
Ricardo can you share three of your deepest, darkest secrets.
I do not enjoy the chicas chasing me.  I would prefer to do the chasing.  Jacki and I have been seeing each other for a while and the familia doesn’t know.
A biography has been written about you. What do you think the title would be in six words or less?
Ricardo’s world is rocked hard.
The next time I will not let her leave.
Why do I always have these locas after me?
Ricardo what is your favorite sexy food?
I love chocolate covered strawberries.
I love to make love with my reina Jacqueline, because it feels like coming home.  It is pure red hot pasión and amor.
What is it about Jacki that drives you loco?
The key element that drives me loco for Jacqueline is that she’s my alma gemela (soul mate). She rages through my blood, is etched in my alma, and fused to my corazon.  I love that Jacqueline is sweet and natural.  The best part is that she’s delicious, passionate, and only mia for eternity.
Ricardo it has been a pleasure interviewing you.   I can see why you were selected for this year Hot Sexy Playboy.
Patricia, I want to thank you for such an enjoyable visit. (He grins winking at me.)

Wilderness Liaison by Anne Ashby

Hi Anne, thanks for visiting. Tell us  a little bit about yourself.
Image of Anne Ashby
Hi, I live in Auckland, New Zealand and write contemporary sweet/clean/traditional romance stories which reflect New Zealand in some manner, either through the characters and/or the setting. I’ve been writing full time for about ten years and have four books published with The Wild Rose Press with another due out early next year. I’m married, have four children and four grandchildren.
How did   you decided to enter  the world of writing?
I’ve always loved to read and dreamed of writing but hesitated because I was unsure how to craft a story properly. Seeing an advertisement for a “learn to write a romance” course was just the catalyst I needed to give writing a try. Without that course I doubt I would ever have had the confidence.
Product DetailsWhat does your family think of your writing?
I suspect there was a certain amount of “Anne’s just amusing herself pretending to write stories” thought going on in the beginning with some members of my extended family, but I’m very fortunate that my husband has always been my greatest supporter.
Where do you get your ideas?
This question is the most asked and probably hardest to answer because I have no idea. They seem to pop up from nowhere, although often developing enough depth to make an interesting story is more difficult. Watching, listening, being aware of things happening around me, looking at TV, newspaper or magazine articles all helps stimulate ideas.
Can you tell us a little about your book?
My most recent release (March 2012) is called “Wilderness Liaison” and is set in New Zealand. My hero is an Auckland businessman forced to attend a team-building course which includes a tramp (hike) through the bush (forest) for 5 days. He objects to his hosts’ feisty daughter being in charge. She has a longstanding dislike of city folk who don’t appreciate the natural environment. Things heat up when they separate from the group to assist the rescue of an injured deerstalker.
What is your writing process?
When I started writing I still had three children in school so organized my writing day around them. The routine worked well so has continued even though two of them are away from home now and my youngest needs no help. I work on my writing in some manner from 8am until 3pm Monday to Friday. I’m a pantser so when composing my stories I sit at my computer and type whatever comes into my head. Often scenes are written out of sequence and my “finished” work needs lots of editing but I cannot seem to be more structured despite many attempts to be so.
What was the hardest part for you when working on your book?
Working through the “saggy middle” and connecting the more exciting, pivotal scenes with less dramatic ones always presents a challenge for me. Reaching the word count I desire sometimes presents a problem, too. I like to have my stories available to readers in print and digital format and with my publisher that requires a minimum of 65K words.
What influenced or inspired you to write?
I give credit to the Harlequin author Loree Lough who instructed the “how to write a romance” course I attended in Maryland. Not only did she teach me the basics of how to construct a story but she also gave me confidence in my own ability. Without her influence I doubt I would have ever had the determination to see past my first rejection letter.
Was there a scene that you didn’t add or you removed in your finished work?
My ‘finished’ work always needs heaps of editing so a lot of things get added or deleted at this stage but I don’t think there has ever been a scene which I’ve decided must go (or stay) which needed much consideration. I have had thoughts about spicing up my love scenes but I don’t feel comfortable writing more erotic passages so leave the action behind closed doors.
Do you have a favorite character (from you're book)? Why?
I think my favourites are always the ones I’m writing about now. Although I did really love the two children in “Devon’s Dream” I enjoyed developing the relationship between them as they tried to bring their parents together.
Do you already know what to write next? Can you tell us?
My current story is the story of a secondary character from my first book “Worlds Apart” which I always intended to write. But I’m experiencing a little difficulty as another story is clamouring for exposure. It keeps forcing its way into my head. I think I might need to put my WIP aside and begin this other one.
Where can we find more information about you and your books?
My website – www.anneashby.com. I’m also on Facebook and Twitter as AuthorAnneAshby or at The Wild Rose Press
Do you have any last words?
Just thanks so much for inviting me to hang out with your readers today
You're welcome, it was a pleasure learning all about you and your work.
Now for some fun questions,
I can be lazy and forget work – also its time I get to spend with my husband
I hate?
Moths!
I want to buy?
Material things don’t matter much to me, at the moment I’d like to replace my 20 yr old vehicle with something a little newer, but other than that, I think I have all I need
My favorite song is?
Anything country is usually pretty okay with me
My favorite precious stone is?
An amethyst is my birth stone and I love its colour. Don’t think it’s actually termed a ‘precious’ stone but it’s my favourite.
I want to travel to? Why?
I love to travel. Living on an island at the bottom of the Pacific means New Zealanders are a long way away from anywhere and as a people we love to explore. My husband and I are just home from 7 weeks in US, UK & Italy. I would spend my whole life travelling the world, I’m just waiting for that big Lotto win. Although television has brought so many sights from around the world to us all, seeing new places for real and meeting new people is such a wonderful experience.
I want to meet?  Why?
I’d love to meet HM The Queen, although I’d be so much a blithering idiot if I ever did. Why would I want to meet her? Because I think she’s the most amazing woman who’s devoted her whole life to others, perhaps not in the same vein as a Mother Teresa but I doubt she’s ever been able to do anything she really wanted to do.
My dream is to?
Be a successful writer, and be able to tell my husband it’s okay for him to retire, I’ll be the breadwinner from now on.

Sacrifice Of Innocence by Allison M Cosgrove

Cover Reveal!

SOI

The man in the corner listened in the darkness, the wind whistling through the crack in the window frame, billowing his hair around him. The child in the room with him was invisible in the darkness. Even the power of the sun, let alone the light from the full moon, could not dampen the gloom hidden behind the boarded windows.

Hearing a sound, the man stiffened. It was the child; the sweet, young child.

"Very soon, my precious, very soon," Joseph whispered, his breath coming in short gasps. Excitement filled his belly; time was drawing closer for the boy.
Footsteps in the hallway caused the boy to whimper in fear, lighting the man's loins on fire. Desperately wanting the forbidden, to touch and play with the boy, he tried to force the urge back down. He wasn't allowed that pleasure, yet. The priests would come soon and the boy would have to be pure. The man's needs would have to wait. The boy would have to wait.
Dreaming of the day he would finally be able to have his way with the boy, the man fixed the delicious whimpers in his memory. The boy would no longer be able to cry and plea.

It was coming soon. So close now.

On the other side of the room, he heard the ominous creak of the door opening. Blinding light silhouetted a figure dressed in long robes.

He hurried over and retrieved his boy-child, his breath coming in gasps so ragged that he thought his lungs would cease to function.

A whimper was all that escaped the gag when the boy tried to scream. Cringing at the man's touch, he fought against the bonds, causing the man's groin to harden once more.

The man smiled. He tightened his grip upon the boy as he tried to wiggle free. The door stood open, waiting for him and the boy.

Suddenly, the door swung closed behind him, plunging the room into darkness once again.
